Two Simple Steps to Create More Joy
“How can I create less anxiety and more joy in my life?” asked my coach.
”Focus on the pocket moments of delight in the everyday things, the smaller the better.” she said.
Thought to myself ‘That seems so insignificant. Can it really be that simple?’
Nearly three years later, after intentionally practicing these 2 practices below, I absolutely feel more gratitude, joy, bliss and fulfillment in my everyday life! Way more than I ever did before.
Give these two steps a try…
1- Allow yourself to become hyper aware of tiny, pocket moments of delight. The smaller the better.
Maybe the sun glistening on the water.
Or the smell of fresh picked tomatoes from your garden.
Perhaps you enjoy a full, deep breath of fresh air.
Allow yourself to become immersed in the delight of the tiny, beautiful every day moments.
2- After your notice a moment of delight, take a moment to have gratitude for the delightful moment.
Allow yourself to appreciate the breath of fresh air, the smell of flowers, the beautiful evening sky.
Allow yourself to sit in gratitude and appreciation for the tiny moments that bring a smile to your face.
What is a tiny moment today that brought your joy, delight and gratitude?
And remember, where your focus goes energy grows.
Focus on joy, delight and gratitude and more of the same will grow in your life!
You are enough, you are worthy and you are deserving of creating a life that lights you up!
